Hola!

¿Qué onda? My name is Seraphina Mya Figueroa but most my friends just call me Sera. I am 9 years old but I turn 10 this summer. First things first, I am bilingual and something I am very proud of! I go to school in the United States in a special program called Duel Immersion, which is basically where I go to school all day and learn everything that normal kids in American learn except I learn everything in spanish. This is what sparked my interest of learning about other cultures, especially different foods and customs. This website follows my journey as I travel across the world with my family!

All About Me

Hey there, fellow travel enthusiasts! I'm Seraphina, but you can call me Sera. I'm nine years old, soon to be a whole decade old this summer. Why is that a big deal? Because for my tenth birthday, my moms are taking me on an epic trip to Europe! We're visiting five countries, and I can barely contain my excitement (and nerves)!

Let me tell you a bit about my awesome life. I come from a split home, but my parents are rockstars at co-parenting. I love them all to bits. My dad is a veteran living in sunny San Diego. I spend weekends with him and his wife, who is like my stepmom and is totally amazing. Our weekends are filled with hiking, ghost hunting, and epic video game battles.

Most of the time, I live with my moms. They're a same-sex couple, and they're beyond supportive of my wild dreams and ambitions. Our house is full of love, laughter, and a zoo of pets – I have two brothers, a little sister, two cats, and three dogs! I adore all animals, but sea creatures have my heart, especially orcas.

When I grow up, I want to be a professional soccer player and travel the world. There's just something magical about learning new cultures and exploring new places. I've been lucky enough to see some pretty cool spots already, mostly in the States. I've marveled at the Golden Gate Bridge, camped along Highway 101 up to Oregon, and even visited the Grand Canyon. I even got to fly to Hawaii for my Uncles wedding. My all-time favorite trip so far was to Colorado – the Royal Gorge and Denver's mile-high altitude were unforgettable.

This spring, I had an incredible adventure in Mexico City. I dove headfirst into the rich Mexican culture, tried delicious traditional foods, explored local art districts, and visited Frida Kahlo's house. (She's my favorite artist!) I also saw Diego Rivera's murals and the awe-inspiring Moon Pyramids, which sits in the western part of the ancient city of Teotihuacan.

My ultimate dream is to see every corner of the world, meet new people, and make friends everywhere I go. So, join me on this journey as I pack my bag, hop on planes, and discover the wonders of our amazing planet!

Stay tuned for all the fun, laughs, and adventures. Buckle up, it's going to be a wild ride!
